The Electrical Inspectorate of Labour Department looks after the enforcement of Laws governing the safety under the following Acts/Regulations/Rules: -

  1. The Electricity Act, 2003,
  2. The Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulations, 2023,
  3. The Bombay Lifts Act, 1939 as extended to National Capital Territory of Delhi,
  4. The Delhi Lift Rules, 1942,
  5. The Regulations for Licensing and Controlling places of public amusement
    (Other than Cinema) and performance for Public Amusement, 1980,
  6. The Delhi Cinematograph Rules, 2008.
