TESTING OF PRESSURE PLANTS, LIFTING MACHINES, POWER PRESSES ETC.
Under the provisions of the Factories Act, 1948 and the Delhi Factories Rules, 1950, equipments such as Pressure Plants (Compressors), Lifting Machines (Chain Pulley-Blocks, Hoists), Power presses etc. are required to be periodically examined and tested by a "Competent Person" approved by the Chief Inspector of Factories, for the period and purpose mentioned in the Certificate of Competency granted to such as a person/institution. A list of "Competent Persons" approved by the Chief Inspector of Factories for examination and testing of Equipments in factories in Delhi is given below:-
The managements of factories are advised to check the validity of the "Certificate of Competency" before assigning the work of examination and testing of such Equipments to any of the Competent Persons.
